China’s first JKMD-6×8 (IV) type multi-rope friction hoist

　　In 2020, China Gold Group Laizhou Huijin Mining Investment Co., Ltd. commissioned the research and development of a main‑shaft hoisting system for the Shaling Gold Mine: the JKMD‑6×8 (IV) type multi‑rope friction hoist. This equipment incorporates a novel external wedge‑type support friction sheave design and a high‑torque composite coupling technology, enabling a single lift with an effective payload of 53 tonnes, a hoisting speed of 15.7 m/s, a lifting height of 1,547.5 metres, and a total motor power of 12,000 kW, while achieving an annual production capacity of 6 million tonnes per unit.
