National Project Demonstration Engineering—Shandong Gold Group Xincheng Gold Mine JKM-5.5×6 (III) Tower-Type Multi-Rope Friction Hoist
In 2021, Shandong Gold Group’s Xincheng Gold Mining Co., Ltd. developed and manufactured the main‑shaft hoisting equipment—the JKM‑5.5×6 (III) type multi‑rope friction hoist—featuring a novel external wedge‑shaped support friction sheave design and a high‑torque composite coupling technology. The new main shaft has a depth of 1,527 m and adopts a tower‑type layout; it employs a double‑bucket hoisting system with bucket capacities of 18 m³. The hoist is driven by a 5,800 kW motor and is tasked with conveying 6,000 t/d of ore and 1,200 t/d of waste rock from underground.

In 2020, China Gold Group Laizhou Huijin Mining Investment Co., Ltd. commissioned the research and development of a main‑shaft hoisting system for the Shaling Gold Mine: the JKMD‑6×8 (IV) multi‑rope friction hoist. This equipment incorporates a novel external wedge‑type support friction sheave design and a high‑torque composite coupling technology, enabling a single‑trip effective payload of 53 tonnes, a hoisting speed of 15.7 m/s, a lifting height of 1,547.5 metres, and a total motor power of 12,000 kW, with an annual production capacity of 6 million tonnes per unit.
Latest Updates on the China–Czech “Belt and Road” Cooperation Project
Jinzhou Mining Machinery (Group) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Jinmin Group”) and the Czech company INCO Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “INCO”) have joined forces to deepen their cooperation, enhance the market competitiveness of their products, and expand their share in both the Chinese and international markets. They are jointly developing a project titled “High-Performance Vertical Transportation Technology for China’s Mining Industry.” In 2019, this project was included in the “List of Priority Projects for China–Czech Cooperation” by the Belt and Road Promotion Center of the National Development and Reform Commission. The end‑users of the project’s products are located in Russia, with logistical proximity to the Manzhouli Port. Product design is being jointly undertaken by Jinmin Group and INCO, while Jinmin Group is responsible for manufacturing; certain components must be imported, after which the complete units are shipped via the Manzhouli Port to the customer’s designated site. The equipment model is the 2JK‑5×2.4 double‑drum single‑rope winding mine hoist. A total of three units are planned, with two already delivered: the first was completed in April 2020, and the second in May 2021. The third unit is currently under preparation.

In 2016, Jinmin Mining Group Co., Ltd. collaborated with research institutions including Beijing University of Science and Technology, China ENFI Engineering & Technology Co., Ltd., Changsha Institute of Mining Research Co., Ltd., Northeastern University, and the Beijing General Research Institute of Mining and Metallurgy to undertake a sub-project under the first batch of key R&D programs launched during the 13th Five-Year Plan period: “Key Technologies for Shaft Construction and Hoisting in Deep‑lying Metal Mines.” Specifically, this sub‑project focused on the development of high‑capacity, high‑speed hoisting equipment and associated control technologies for deep vertical shafts—namely, the research and development of an eight‑rope hoist.
