JK-5×3 single-rope winding type large mine hoist
In early 2011, at the request of Benxi Longxin Mining Co., Ltd. of Tongling Zhongdu Mine Construction Company in Anhui Province, Jinmin Group, after more than three months of research and development, custom‑designed and delivered a high‑specification JK‑5×3 single‑rope winding type large‑capacity mine hoisting system for the company’s shaft‑construction phase. This complete set features a main‑shaft drum with a diameter of 5 meters and a width of 3 meters, a maximum static pulling force of up to 300 kN, and is capable of handling shaft depths of 1,500 meters. The project achieved breakthroughs in design, control, and key technologies. The successful development and manufacture of China’s first complete JK‑5×3 single‑rope mine hoisting system has elevated the technological level of the domestic mining equipment manufacturing industry, filled a critical domestic gap, and laid a solid foundation for the exploitation of ultra‑deep mineral resources in China.

1 Spindle Section

The drum design refines Davydov’s classic conceptual framework, leveraging thin-shell elasticity theory to optimize the drum’s structure, thereby reducing internal stresses and enhancing its structural strength.
1.2 “Split-Type Brake Disc for Mine Hoists,” Patent No. ZL201020547861.9.
The brake disc on the spindle drum adopts a split‑type structure. The split brake disc is fastened to the drum end face using countersunk holes that mate with bolts and standard bolts. Radial positioning between the brake disc and the drum is achieved via a locating shoulder, while axial positioning between the split halves of the brake disc is provided by keys, making installation and transportation more convenient.

2 Reducer
This project employs the XP-1450 planetary reducer, which is currently one of the largest‑capacity planetary reducers available for hoists in China. Its gears feature hardened tooth surfaces, resulting in a compact design, high transmission capacity, smooth operation, and low noise levels.

3 Disc brakes
In the JK series hoist disc brake system, two national patents with independent intellectual property rights have been applied.

The hoists in this series are equipped with rear‑mounted cylinder disc brakes, which feature a compact design, responsive operation, and high safety and reliability. The braking torque is highly adjustable, and the brake’s rated torque is designed to be three times the maximum static torque.

5.2 The electrical control safety protection system employs multifunctional real-time monitoring, fully automatic protection, electronic depth indication, and PLC control. During operation of a single-rope winding mine hoist, it provides early warning, continuous monitoring, and real-time protection against issues such as overload, overspeed, overwind, rope slack, and brake shoe wear.
5.3 The electronic depth indicator is a multi‑functional, compact device that simplifies equipment and facilitates maintenance. Its light‑bar and digital displays provide an intuitive measurement of the elongation of a single traction rope during actual operation, enabling automatic control based on position and velocity.
