The company has total assets of RMB 500 million and registered capital of RMB 300 million. Prior to its restructuring, it was the Jinzhou Mining Machinery Plant, a large second‑level state‑owned enterprise established in 1949 and designated as a national second‑class enterprise. It is one of the nation’s leading manufacturers of mine hoists, a designated production facility for large‑scale mine shaft hoisting equipment, and a specialized manufacturer of small and medium‑sized steam turbines in Liaoning Province; it was formerly an enterprise under the former Ministry of Machinery.

　　In 2016, Jinmin Mining Group collaborated with research institutions including Beijing University of Science and Technology, China ENFI Engineering & Technology Co., Ltd., Changsha Institute of Mining Research Co., Ltd., Northeastern University, and the Beijing General Research Institute of Mining and Metallurgy to undertake a sub‑project under the first batch of key R&D programs launched during the 13th Five-Year Plan: “Key Technologies for Shaft Construction and Hoisting in Deep‑Level Metal Mines.” Specifically, the group was tasked with developing an eight‑rope hoist—a critical component of this sub‑project—focusing on high‑capacity, high‑speed hoisting equipment and advanced control technologies.
